Palestinians burning British and EU buildings - this seems like a sign of desperation to me.

The world or rather the 'west ' wants the Palestinians to rule themselves - to observe international methods of governance

but how can they do that if Israel (with its sophisticated military - and its arrogance in the face of all - even the British and Americans can't plead with them to behave) ignores the right of the Palestinians to try to create a society based upon principles rather than the rule of the gun

I just feel so gutted for the Palestinians - how the hell can these people ever trust the West

When the West clearly sides with Israel and turns a blind eye to acts of violation against Palestinian persons and property

the arrogance is overwhelming and the complete impotence of the Brits in this situation is depressing

wow - the Palestinians - their lives are burning in an earthly hell and the world doesnt have the guts to extinguish the flames

this situation will only lead to madness - WHEN WILL OUR LEADERS CRY OUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?

lets see....the silly cartoon saga - what a bloody nuisance that was!

i just kept thinking why, why? why did they have to pour fuel on the fire that seemed at the time would consume us all

but thankfully we are finally nearing an end to the riotting and mayhem (does riotting have two t's ? )

firstly - my initial reaction was - why? so i wanted an explanation from the cartoonist, editor of the magazine - what was the meaning - i was genuinely interested

and then i wanted to ask the muslims who were screaming revulsion - whay are you screaming? can you not speak calmly - why do you need to rage? beacause the europeans are not heartless machines who will not listen to your point of view - they are willing to listen to your argument, your sensitivities - but only if you speak politely and show them the respect you want for yourselves and your prophet

but

then the news tells us - that arab diplomats who wanted to meet with danish govt officials blah blah to discuss the matter had effectively been shunned

well that is stupidity on the danish govt's part - rudeness too and probably arrogance

and so it seemed to me that there were some europeans who felt that they are the champions of freedom - i imagine in all its forms - and so they shouldnt have to answer to muslims who have no respect for freedom ...........i felt there was an element of prejudice, stereotyping i.e arab muslim = barbarian (or maybe im being too harsh - who knows- but something was wrong with the refusal to meet with the diplomats - which was worrying)

and so they felt they were sending a clear message that freedom of speech cannot be curtailed at all - whatever - but the only thing is they were curtailing the muslims right to free speech by ignoring their initial quiet protest

but moving on

i have to say that i became curious - i wanted to see the cartoons to judge for myself

bloody hell - let the individual decide if the danish magazine people had insulted the prophet or not

and also - why cant muslims be brave and take something like that on the chin - laugh back at the cartoonist for being immature in his understanding of world politics, culture, religions?

and then i think also - as muslims we have no right to dictate to another who is not of the same faith - how and what rules he/she must observe when thinking of islam and the prophet muhammad -

for god's sake we cant control anyones mind - be he/ she a muslim or not

freedom is too precious

but to the danes and others - who arrogantly bleat that they are simply upholding human rights blah blah i feel they should have been diplomatic and polite

a quick SORRY AND WE HOPE YOU CAN PARDON THIS BUT PLEASE REALISE THAT WE FEEL THE CARTOONS WERE ABOUT POLITICAL DEBATE RATHER THAN TO INSULT.......BLAH BLAH

would have been a sensible thing to do

BUT I HOPE MUSLIMS CAN SEE THROUGH THE STUPIDITY OF THE FEW WHO WERE HYPER AND BONKERS AND MAD AND BLOODY DISGUSTING AT TIMES

AND QUESTION WHY NON-MUSLIMS ARE QUESTIONING OUR FAITH AND ITS PEOPLE

THE MAJORITY OF MUSLIMS EXPRESSED DISAPPROVAL OF THE CARTOONS BUT DIDNT GO MAD

for me the cartoon said - muslims your religion has been tarnished by the terrorism, the corrupt governments, by the childish arrogance of community leaders and so on

it makes me want to work even harder to help build bridges and real respect between all types of humans

how does a person give up being an ordinary free citizen in the uk? and why how does such a person make the decision to committ suicide - a suicide bombing.....?

when people go about their daily lives do they feel free?

what makes us feel free?

have some people not got that sense of freedom? do they not feel free?

why are europeans willing to die for overseas causes? even after we see these acts only cause innocent suffering - i dont think the americans are yet scared and running from iraq?

If there is something true about the Orientalists and the modern day version - who are really politicists -( they are not true historians, scholars - they are people with an agenda )(but i suppose we all have agendas dont we?)- they want to turn the middle east into a subjugated mass of morons who bleat yes to anything that is demanded .........

the Ottoman empire had to be destroyed one way or another - the wealth of the middle east - the trade routes, the gas, the oil..................they were natural resources (lucrative) required by any ambitious state - the crucial weapon in fragmenting, destroying the "Islamic world" was by causing division, by creating polarisation between the educated classes and the ruling classes and the lesser levels of society

but the really cool tool was to encourage rebellion, to encourage muslims to identify with radical islamist groups

this caused internal strife and discord amongst muslim societies - but also caused western societies to accept the idea that muslims could not be at peace with non-muslims

and funnily, muslims too are this way encouraged to believe the same

so-called muslim scholars dish out hate nonsense and try to convince muslims that their faith requires them to shun the infidel

muslim scholars, rebel leaders, whatever, do the same as any other leader - they try to intoxicate, distract, beguile, brainwash, scare, humble the masses into believing their way

when the certain so-called scholars, writers......tell us that there is a world wide jihad, that muslims must hate others, in particular jews - then the more these lies are regurgitated the more people blindly believe

and the silly terrorists are there to confirm our fears and their lies - people joining terror groups for personal reasons but using justifications mouthed to them by others who have other reasons for spreading hate and violence

these people who fall for the terror talk and think its ok to blow up others for a reason - what bloody reason?

blowing people up gives no answer to anyone - but they are blinded by powerful seducers - the leaders of our world

Israelis have been the most apt at this game of stereotyping muslims - and the bloody terrorists only help such people

Its sickening - stupid riots happen in Paris and some Israelis take the chance to say - yes! yes! another intifada, jihad hahaha france we told you so there is a jihad!

thank God for the Israelis and Jews who stand above this rubbish hate talk and try to speak objectively for the good of humanity (we need to know more about the good muslims and jews who are the majority - i believe this)(please dont imagine good equals jews wailing at wall and muslims hitting the floor! good in human general terms ok ok)

a picture in which a palestinian schoolgirl is trying to say something to an Israeli soldier - and is at the point of pushing him back ..............strikes me as very odd

imagine if young palestinians and Israelis - especially the soldiers could stand face to face and look into each others eyes

how long could the hate dictate their lives?

the girl in the picture has clasped the soldiers hand - there is no explanation as to what he or she are saying exactly at that moment - i wish there were

those pics intrigue me - we can only guess at the words, emotions of both

anyway they are pictures at al-jazeera (english) showing a protest in hebron against the closure of roads and therefore schools for palestinians

remember the story about the British and German soldiers playing football at Christmas? ww1? as a teenager reading about that - well, i was shocked at the cruelty of life, fate

we are currently in the process of redesigning, redeveloping our local primary school

parents too (it is hoped - will contribute to ideas put forward for design)have a say - but i am so sad that not many actually come out and actively take part

well, the headteacher and i were feeling very jealous of the private school in chigwell - which happens to be a town within a borough! it is spectacular!

and what is our school in comparison? - a nothing, a blip - oh so unfair!

but i think this is the opportunity to learn from others and re develop our school - we can never compete with that school it is huge - but we can have a sports area in our vacant concrete ground - we can encourage sports other than football - not all children love and play football well, they are often pushed out of games by the more able or confident children

children need activities, hobbies, they need to enjoy and feel good about themselves and learn team work and respect for their local world - and then perhaps they have a better chance of becoming happier, positive people in the world at large

but how do we convince the battle-axe chair of governors to have the courage to speak up for the kids?

something i have noticed - there is too much money spent on the arts - such as groups of musicians coming in to play and display their instruments but not enough children playing instruments

why are we not funded for violin, piano, chello, drums, sitar..... etc lessons - there is a music section in the local education building... who send out letters to us parents declaring the hard work they do with our children but when we ask for lessons that we are willing to pay for as long as they come to the local school - we hear nothing, not an answer - some children, some schools get alot and others get very little........how does that happen?

why are we failing?

this is my mission - i want to know why things just dont happen even though we fundraise, we pay taxes blah blah

the chair and the local education authority have a very patronising attitude towards parents - they behave as though they are a charity organisation - and that we should be grateful for the handouts - when we question a policy - we
are quickly made to realise our place in the hierarchy just by a look!

thats how it was at the first meeting i attended - very strange atmosphere - false, political, cut-throat

no wonder so few parents who are vocal in the playground do not have the nerve to take part in the governing body

in some ways the local working class, un-educated or under - educated people just cant cope agaisnt the minority local middle class snooty guffawing parents

i've noticed some middle class types who aspire to positions of power laugh very loudly and unnaturally prolong that laugh at a joke that may not be that funny

but this is all a learning experience - and i hope i dont become false but im afraid i probably will - god i hope not

i want an excellent school - buzzing, with real learning - no fucking jokes, no charity education please, real academic stuff - its ok if kids are not all academic - help them consume at their own rate up to their level, and then also lots and lots of drama, music, sport sport sport - football yeah ok - cricket bring back cricket - it is an indigenous, national, excellent game -

if we were in the states i would want a baseball pitch - i'll never forget the autumn scene in New Jersey - kids dressed for baseball with their parents playing and enjoying

well i will be quiet now

this country needs to sort itself out! the reports of violence in schools are scary - something is not right - and now back to life!

Sometimes the feeling comes when all you want is to run, run, run fast into life and away past the crowds, the rain, the hot flowers, and the intoxicating foods cooked on the sides of streets cold and hungry. To shake it all off, to shake of the winter malady of increased stress, the knowing that we are in a cage, a cauldron bubbling, a machine conveyer belt in a factory churning and turning out work, wages, profit, control of a world out of our reach. Sometimes you want to break those chains of observance, submission and just chill, just sit down and not even think, perhaps just close your eyes and dream of an island, an oasis better than this life. The hope is paradise whether found here or in the sky beyond clouds, beyond our human reach deep into the heart of that wonder that has plagued us humans since our inception. We wonder and we hope, some of us work incessantly for our dreams and others demand from others, well whatever, we all want the same thing. Paradise.

i know a woman whose son has disappeared - he went on a world tour type thing and rang home 2 months ago but told his parents they wouldnt hear from him again

she still goes on with her daily duties

her work - she is the principal wage earner in her home

but my mum let me know yesterday that she is struggling - behind closed doors she cries........

wow imagine

her son grew up before us - he was my sister's school friend

so sad

the secrets people hold in their hearts - silent suffering

but

on a lighter note - i need to think of a party idea for my 8 yr old - he has had many birthday parties - im wondering what now - i cant keep giving them parties every year - they have to share - i mean my daughters are old enough for "proper" parties too

such a dilemma

i had no idea so many people would ever vote for me! wow what a buzzzzzzzz but scary too

Whatever the political injustices are that created an environment that brought this about, it was not Americans who flew those planes into those buildings. And we should remember that. The crimes against humanity were perpetrated by people who were Arab Muslims. And I haven't seen anyone address that issue out here. And they should.

there was a time when i was afraid i had destroyed my chance of an academic career by having babies whilst studying but now 2 years on i dont care!

they are amazing

laughter, crazy fights, tantrums, grins, toddler rebellion

they are so cute and wild and sweet and just wonderful

right now they are running in circles giggling and trying to trick me into not noticing they have managed to get the tv on

i dont know - i am lost for words

they drive me nuts too but its the best kind of nutty feeling

and as for the career it will happen - i know it - hey does anyone else like the scissor sisters? i never thought i would but they are good to dance to!

approx - 2 days ago a house was attacked by criminals targetting 'softies'

the softies were chinese illegal immigrants who work in the construction industry - they are actually highly skilled

highly motivated men and women who work so hard that others become afraid for their health

well anyway - i have heard that during that night a gang broke into their home

stabbed, beat, forced their way through these unfortunate peoples few belongings - took their money, mobiles etc

a local - spent the entire night driving the injured to the hospital

the police have now taken in his car which was soaked in blood - these men were brutally beaten and cut up

anyone who knew of these men is in shock at the gravity of the cruelty - inhumanity --------so wrong

these chinese men are finished - traumatised - mutilated - back to square one - penniless and perhaps off to china to face their debts (they pay thousands to come here)

whatever the rights and wrongs of illegal immigration - these people work their guts out for our economy and i have come to believe the government allows it to carry on as modern slavery keeps our health system in particular going

the chinese are seen as soft targets by certain members of london society - there are times as alondoner you have to act tough towards such people as they will target you - when driving, when in a line for a ticket blah blah anywhere there are certain types who never grow up - they remain the losers - the bullies - jealous of other peoples success even if its minimal - they dont want others to succeed

some chinese were working - a knock at the door was heard - they thought it was ok to open up to a stranger

they were attacked too - the police cant help - its scares me that there are anonymous people out there with no protection

i feel sick

all day i have been fasting - i felt so tired - usually the last days of ramadan are hard on me - i dont know why, they are shorter than at the beginning - but i think i get tired and then that makes me miserable - but i have been fighting the hunger stress by telling myself i must learn self-discipline

plus i think of all the children who have no choice - they face poverty and starvation

that gets me through - well once i had broken the fast and decided to check up on the world - i got terribly distressed

when is this bombing crap going to end?

im beginning to wonder whether london will be next - round 2 - we cant be left in peace can we?

why are people going mad in the world? i want to answer this thought with - because there is no justice - is that it?

no real power through ordinary political channels

has anyone noticed that the israelis are saying that they cannot deal with the current leaders of palestine? they cannot deal with them - does that really mean that they dont want to? so they exterminate them one by one? they say they will wait for the next generation of leaders to come through - a generation that is scarred by violence? it just seems so disgusting - a whole nation is tortured into submission - they are not alone other groups around the globe suffer often with no media attention

i feel sick

and then the bombs - on the eve of eid and diwali - i feel sick - but my heart says that diplomacy, dialogue, justice must be the greater tools used to overcome the madness

i have just seen the photos of the latest israeli rocket firing escapade on jabaliya camp in gaza - (reuters)

i feel moved to write something

in this world of the 24 hours news broadcasts we feel somehow connected to the events across the globe - as they happen we are there - but really we are not - we just watch - and the worst part is we are powerless

we cant stop the mayhem

we live in a 1984 situation - we live in a system which ultimately requires we shut up and put up with it all

i am not anti - semetic - never would that happen - but i am against the masters behind the state of israel

this country was born out of terror politics and tactics - it exists today by the same policy - terror upon terror

the people of israel are being used by their leaders - ordinary people die in suicide bombings which can be stopped

give palestinians a real state - give them back as much as is possible - it was theirs to begin with - give the majority back - let the refugees return

and create a real peace - where jews muslims christians live in harmony (ok relative harmony - cant have perfection)

these peoples have lived togther before - they can do it again

maybe we need compulsory military service - young people or old who do nothing but cause havoc, trouble ......send them off to the desert to find some water - they could create irrigation projects or something like that.........oh what rubbish im writing
